There's some good news today for T-Mobile customers looking to add a few more Nexus devices to their lives. The carrier announced today that the Nexus 7 tablet is now available to order with a T-Mobile SIM from the Google Play store, where it will set you back the same $299 as the regular HSPA+ model (still 32GB only). What's more, T-Mobile has also confirmed that, as expected, it's expanding retail availability for the Nexus 4. That rollout began yesterday, and the carrier says all retail locations in the US should have the tablet in-store within the "coming weeks." You'll also be able to order it from T-Mobile's website beginning January 23rd.

Virgin Mobile UK becomes latest Euro carrier to offer Google's Nexus 4

Some say that it's "better late than never," and, as of right now, this may very well be a good thing for Virgin Mobile UK users looking to snag one of those chart-topping Nexus 4s. A mere few months after the LG-made handset was first announced, Virgin Mobile is set to join other carriers across the pond in offering Google's sleek flagship. What's more, the Nexus 4 can be had at no cost upfront, so long as interested UKers choose from one of Virgin Mobile's qualified 24-month tariffs. Meanwhile, those of us in the States without a Nexus 4 will have to keep on waiting, as Google Play (and T-Mobile) still appear to be having trouble keeping up with demand.

Firefox OS mystery phone

As much as we've heard about Firefox OS, there hasn't been a lot of talk about actual devices. We can put at least one major manufacturer on the list, however. ZTE's US chief Cheng Lixin tells Bloomberg that his company is working with an unspecified European carrier to ship a Mozilla-friendly phone sometime in 2013. It's a modest beginning, but Cheng notes that the OS could cross the Atlantic and reach the US this year if ZTE decides the platform is viable enough for the trip. Just what that that European phone involves is another matter -- it's unlikely that the mystery device we saw at CES represents ZTE's future hardware. Between this and TCL's commitment earlier this week, though, it's evident that Mozilla's platform is becoming a tangible reality.
